As a research health organization, Merz dedicates themself to the development of new innovative products for the wellbeing and recovery of patients and the satisfaction of its clients.
The compliance with legal conditions for the assurance of an excellent and always consistent quality is the first priority. The proper use of the law and the international standards that are to be adhered to (DIN/EN/ISO), is assured by regular inspections that are carried out by competent local surveillance authorities (e.g., in Germany, Regierungspräsidium (Regional Commission) Darmstadt; and US/international: Food and Drug Administration FDA) and appropriate certification bodies (e.g. TÜV (Technical Inspection Authority) in Germany).
Similarly, Merz has implemented a Quality Management System, in which the recurring process sequences are constantly analysed critically by its own internal inspection system and continuously improved with respect to the quality of the products and processes.
In doing so, individual Quality Assurance specialised sections and appropriately qualified staff undertake the checking of preclinical testing, the clinical trials phase, the production and quality control.
The storing and distribution of our products to the end customers are also subject to appropriate and, in part, product-specific general conditions, which are to be adhered to in order to assure a consistent quality from the manufacturing process to use.
For Merz, an effective quality management means that errors are avoided as far as possible and are noticed so promptly that no danger to persons can arise. Appropriate control and notification systems ensure that defective products can be rejected or recalled.
