Merz presents Award for Brain Research in Geriatrics 2004

Frankfurt, 24.11.2004

For the 11th time the Center for Geriatric Research at the University of Witten/ Herdecke award the prize for brain research in geriatrics. The prize is funded by Merz Pharma, Frankfurt, with 10,000 Euro.

With this prize physicians, scientists, pharmacologists, nursing staff, psychologists and sociologists are honoured for their work which – on the basis of applied research – is a considerable contribution to improving diagnosis, therapy and care of geriatric patients with brain diseases.

On November 24th, 2004, the prize was awarded to

• Sandra Rennecke, Recklinghausen, for her work “Care of demented patients”
• Dr. A. Rösler, Albertinen-Haus, Center for Gerontology and Geriatry, Hamburg, for his work “Visual Search”.
